ABOUT 4079 MAGAZINE
iCommunicate is the official magazine of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Each year, graduating students from the Department of Journalism create a magazine that highlights important stories from both the academic community and beyond.
4079, the 30th volume of iCommunicate marks the beginning of a new era. It will share the untold stories of those who are no longer with us—narratives often softened by society. We will approach these tales with fresh perspectives, revealing their importance in our journey of self-discovery and in embracing new beginnings.
Our Story
We’re all the same. We lost ourselves when endings crashed into our lives, leaving us searching for meaning in the aftermath.
And just as we seek our light and gather the broken pieces of ourselves, we find ourselves clinging to life, learning that endings arise from tales of loss, illuminating hope as we embrace the beauty of new beginnings—and this is what 4079 wishes to bring to the table.
VISION
To be a magazine fit to engage wisdoms that encompass endings and death while portraying nuisances in tales of hope, solace, and new beginnings.
4079 Magazine hopes to be a cornerstone in conveying the hopes and aspirations within topics of endings and death. Our magazine is a manifestation of the dreams that did not be, but courage on to tell what little speck it had left for people to discover or pass to those who can.
