isang dekada’t limang taon man ang lumipas sa dilim,

ang lupa’y ‘di mananatiling tahimik 

at mga alaala’y tila sugat na patuloy ang imik,

na sa bawat patak ng dugo’y sumisibol ang hinagpis, 

sa likod ng mga piring, may matang nakasilip,

mga tanikala ng takot, unti-unting napupunit.

Maria Minerva Melendres is a Literary writer, photojournalist, graphic designer, and part of the marketing department in 4079 Magazine. A senior BA Journalism student at PUP-COC Manila who specializes in Sports writing, a jack of all trades, she is an intern at ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs (INCA) and focuses on producing stories through videos and articles about Business, and a writer for Lifestyle.
